iftop: Display bandwidth usage on an interface

โปรแกรม iftop เป็นเครื่องมือที่ดีอีกตัวหนึ่งในการตรวจสอบการใช้งานแบนด์วิดท์ในระบบ โดยผมได้ติดตั้งตัวโปรแกรมนี้กับ Endian 2.3 และ CentOS 5.5 ซึ่งช่วยให้ทราบได้ว่าตอนนี้เครื่องไหนใช้แบนด์วิดท์เท่าไรบ้าง

การติดตั้งบน CentOS5.5

# yum install iftop

การติดตั้งบน Endian 2.3

Download ที่ http://checksuite.sourceforge.net/dl/

copy iftop-0.16-0.i386.rpm ไปที่ \root

# rpm -ivh iftop-0.16-0.i386.rpm

โดย Options ที่ผมใช้งานบ่อยๆคือ

Host display:          t - cycle line display mode           

Sorting:                  1/2/3 - sort by 1st/2nd/3rd column

General:                 T - toggle cummulative line totals

ซึ่งผมติดตั้งและทำงานบน CentOS 5.5 และ Endian 2.3เป็นผลที่น่าพอใจมากครับ
